Col Mercer

Col holds a degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree (with Distinction) in Occupational Psychology. He is a Chartered Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience in top-level consulting with a range of organisations, both UK and globally. He built up and ran an award-winning boutique consulting business before selling it in 2019.

Col has match-fished all his life. His first team was Widnes Angling Centre before he joined Middlewich JA, then Team Whizzo and, eventually, Division 1 outfit Team Last Cast, which he captained. He has won hundreds of matches along with multiple festival wins and podium finishes. He is backed by Pellet Guys and RW Floats.

Tom Scholey

Tom is a seasoned Angling Journalist, having his work published across the spectrum of UK Angling Media. After a stint as Editor of Match Fishing Magazine, he started his own angling media business, Catch More Media, in 2017. Since then, he has amassed over 115,000 Facebook Followers and 96,000 YouTube Subscribers, as well as continuing his written work. He has also been invited to tell his story on the Tackle Guru Podcast.

Tom is also a highly regarded match angler, with an impressive CV at the top level of the sport. He counts the Drennan Knockout Cup as his biggest accolade. A committed team angler, he has also fished for some of the UK’s most highly regarded sides. He has recently been invited to take part in the Fishub Premier League for the 2026 season.
